Building Your Brand Cow Style!

September 10, 2008   ·   Blogging, General   ·   736 views   ·

Lets face it the internet is growing at a rapid pace and blogs are created every couple of minutes worldwide on every topic / niche you can possibly imagine. These days finding an idea that has not already been blogged about is nearly impossible.

This leaves us bloggers with a dilemma and is actually the motivation behind the post today. Posting this topic here on CowBlogger is actually perfect because I have taken the exact same principles and applied them to this very blog!

Logo’s Matter - The logo you choose to represent your blog or business is vital to your whole organizations success. Rather then getting into deep thought about how important a logo is just know that it is and be sure to “Keep it simple, Use color, Make it legible and above all else Keep it Friendly!”.
Names Matter More- While the logo is important the name of your business could very well make or break your blog / business. Nobody remembers hard names, they need quick catchy names to use like CowBlogger.com who can’t remember that?
Design Layout Is Key- When designing the theme or site for your blog / business remember that you want to stand out but not in a bad way of course. Here at CowBlogger.com we have tried to be different by bringing the Cow theme to an MMO blog. Sure JohnCow.com did it some but we took it to the next level by actually using a cow as our mascot. I Think this makes people more inclined to check us out, what do you think?
Bring Something Unique- As we talked about above you want to be different but what if you can’t be totally original? No problem, how about bring a interesting view-point on posts, topics or even the whole blog. For instance instead of a jogging blog about jogging why not start a blog about jogging your way through life?

I believe if you can master those steps you will be well on your way to building a brand that will stick in peoples minds. Word of mouth is so powerful for any business and the techniques above help you get the ball rolling!
