Are you ready? Then sit yourself down on your green pasture and grab a glass of milk with some cookies!

Lets start off with a general rules list for what your post should have to ensure its BUZZ worthy!

Use Engaging Titles- The title of your post needs to engage people to click it however avoid using works like Click Here as Digg and other top media sites will ignore them. Instead try asking a question and giving an answer in your title. Lets take the title of this very post for example” I Have Written An Awesome Post But Nobody Is Linking To It Or Finding My Blog, How Can I Get People To My Site And Generate Links To My Posts?” in the title I have acted like a third person and I simply asked a question. You obviously liked what the title said because you clicked on it…

Write Good Content- I Know this has already been semi covered in the title of this post but you really do need to make sure your content is good, if its good it should generate a little buzz with little to no work but bad content that is either incomplete or inaccurate will be more difficult to market to the masses! Content is all about asking a question and providing the solution unless your blog is not technical or its more of a personal blog then you should know what type of content is best. If your unsure look at other top blogs in your niche, they know what works and you should copy what they do right!

Make Sure Your Blog Has SEO Friendly URL’s- This one is not actually necessary but I encourage everyone to use SEO urls because in the long run the search engines will send link love your way for doing what they like best and that is “making it easy for them to find your content”. They don’t want to search for it, just pitch it out right in front of them!

Use Your Blogs Tags- I have not always used tags on my posts but I am trying to start doing it more now, tags are great and make it easy for people as well as the search engines to find a post on your blog. Tags usually go directly into technorati and I am sure there are lots of plugins that can help you market your post through tags even more. Search google for these plugins and remember to test, test and re-test until you find what works!

OK, OK well now lets get into the good stuff, here is how you should be marketing your posts to generate buzz, traffic and of course sales or leads!

Social It - One of the best ways I have found to get a post seen around the net in a very short time span is to social bookmark it. Get your friends to vote on it as well and if they are willing to actually submit the post themselves I say ask them because its more organic that way. I suggest the following social bookmark sites:

Comment- One of the best ways to generate buzz about your blog in general is to comment on other blogs in your niche. Stick to the big dawgs unless you have some spare time and remember several comments from one blog is good because it looks more natural to the search engines. For instance if your an MMO blog I suggest commenting on CowBlogger.com, InfectedByBugs.com, JohnCow.com, JohnChow.com, Problogger.net, TylerCruz.com, Blueverse.com and of course DailyBlogTips.com

Forum Sig It- Believe it or not forum signatures is one of the best ways to create buzz about any website. If your a popular member on high class forums you can get hundreds of clicks per month by creating an intriguing link text that other forum users can click on. Just be sure to follow the forum rules because I know people that were banned for certain sigs and believe me they would go back if they could!

It really is that simple people, if you follow those simple rules and you market it with the above methods I believe you could generate thousands of visitors to your site per month without doing anything more.
